The ISL side is set to rope in child Thoiba Singh.
Indian Super League (ISL) side Odisha FC are set to sign kid Thoiba Singh from Punjab FC.

Thoiba Singh, 17, graduated in the Minerva Punjab academy and has been promoted to the senior side in the 2018-19 season. He’d appeared in seven games for Punjab’s senior side in the I-League.

He played nine games this year from the I-League for Punjab and has scored one goal that came against reigning Chennai City FC which his team won 3-1.

The Manipuri kid has also represented India in the childhood level such as the India U17 side. He was also a part of Bibiano Fernandes’ India U16 team that reached the quarter-finals of the AFC U16 Championship in 2018.

Thoiba Singh, incidentally, became the youngest player to score in the AFC Cup when he netted for Punjab FC against Nepalese club Manang Marshyangdi from the group stages this past year.

Thoiba was 16 years and 154 days old when he achieved this accomplishment.

Odisha have parted ways with Spanish trainer Josep Gombau following two seasons. The team is currently on a signing spree since they had roped in Aizawl FC duo Isak Vanlalruatfela and Paul Ramfangzauva.
